Meet Our Staff
Robin – Full Time Hygienist & Orthodontic Assistant
With 14 years of dental hygiene experience, Robin has been with Dr. Killian since 2007. She is experienced in pedodontics (children's dentistry) and orthodontics.
Robin is a school hygienist for the Upper Adams School District where she is active with dental education in the schools and local community through presentations at local day care centers. Robin is a licensed dental hygienist in PA & MD, Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner. She attended Mansfield University, and her Hygienist Degree is from Luzurne County Community College, PA
Mary – Full Time Dental Assistant
With Dr. Killian since 2010, Mary has 7 years of dental experience. A graduate of the Lancaster Career and Technology Center in the Dental Assisting Program, Mary is interested in learning the newest techniques and procedures in cosmetic dentistry, and is passionate about helping patients look and feel their best.
Jamie – Office Manager
Jamie has 4 years of dental office managerial experience and has been with Dr. Killian since 2008. Jamie spent many years in the customer service industry including management, sales and hospitality.
With a degree in Paralegal Studies, she has completed continuing education classes in front office management, practice management and dental coding. Jamie loves working with patient's to maximize dental care and make it affordable for all patients.
Dr. Killian grew up in the Harrisburg area, and graduated from University of Delaware in 1985 and the to University of Virginia to study chemistry. After earning his Ph.D. in 1990, Dr. Killian moved to Boston to work in the pharmaceutical industry.
After five years as a chemist, Dr. Killian felt he needed a career change and entered Tufts University in 1996. After graduation in 2000, Dr. Killian moved back to the Harrisburg area as an associate dentist. In 2002 he purchased the practice of Dr. Bruce Harris and has been here since!
Beginning in 2003, Dr. Killian has volunteered one or two days a month at a free dental clinic and feels it is important to give back to the community. Dr. Killian has a particular interest in smile make-overs and complex full mouth rehabilitations.
Dr. Killian also feels strongly about continuing dental education and is committed to life-long learning in order to better serve his patients. Dr. Killian takes over 100 hours of continuing education classes each year. Dr. Killian is also working towards becoming a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires presenting patient cases at the semi-annual meeting each year in front of his peers. Less than ten percent of general dentists in the United States achieve this honor.
